PIIT28 Review!

I FINISHED PIIT28!!!

Guys. I am so insanely proud of myself. You know that I stopped and restarted and embarrassing number of times, but I was finally able to grit my teeth and put in 28 days of this amazing program last week!

I feel amazing! I feel like a million bucks knowing I finished something I started, especially something as tough as PIIT28. Here I am in the free completion tank I got for finishing the program. It arrived in the mail today and I loooove it. It’s soft, it’s flattering, it looks awesome with my favorite leggings, and most of all, every time I look at it I’m reminded that I’m capable of incredible things. 🙂

These workouts are no joke. I struggled, big time, for the first week of each attempt. Pushing yourself as hard as you can with a tough cardio move for 45 minutes, resting for 15 seconds, then jumping into a difficult Pilates move for 45 seconds and repeating that for 28 minutes straight is TOUGH! But the beauty of PIIT28 is that because you jump back and forth between HIIT and Pilates, you get the toning, elongating benefits of Pilates as well as the crazy calorie burn (not just during your workout but for a few hours after as well!) of HIIT training.

The program is 28 days long as well as 28:40 in duration per day (plus a warmup and cool down). These workouts are short but they are super effective. I was dripping in sweat by the end of each one! It’s a great program for anyone who’s short on time—oh wait, isn’t that all of us? Even as a mom of 3 little kids, I was able to make time for PIIT28 every day.

And best of all, PIIT28 is really, really fun. As hard as the workouts were, especially at first, I really found the format fun and exciting. I liked challenging myself to go harder with each new move and round, and I liked how strong and powerful I felt each time I repeated a move and saw improvement from the last time I performed it. Honestly, I’ve never felt such rapid gains in strength or seen such quick physical results from a fitness program as I have from PIIT28. Which brings me to . . .

My Results

The most important reason I did PIIT28 is to FEEL good. But even so, I did take on PIIT28 hoping to see some physical changes and was not disappointed in the slightest in that department. So here are my PIIT28 results!

Here are my before and after pics along with my measurements on Day 1 and Day 28.

Weight: 152.9  — 147.3

Chest: 36″ — 36″

Waist: 29.5″ — 28″

Hips: 40″ — 38.5″

Thigh: 24″ — 24″

Arm: 11.5″ —11″

I’ve never been much of a before and after pics girl, but look at the difference! Even through a tank you can see that my core tightened up significantly. And while the scale isn’t everything, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was thrilled to see that number drop to my pre-baby norm.

Yup!  I lost all my baby weight in five months—in fact, Scarlett turned five months old exactly on the day I completed  PIIT28. I’m back in all my old jeans and other clothes, and I feel great. And best of all? I did it by doing healthy, moderate, consistent things. Nothing extreme. Nothing crazy. PIIT28 is 28:40 minutes per day, 6x a week plus a warm up and cool down.

I didn’t follow PIIT28’s accompanying meal plan, the 28 Day Reset, because I feel like my eating is in a good place right now. So rather than following any specific plan, I simply tried to eat healthily and keep desserts to 2 or 3 times a week. However, I wasn’t skimping at all on quantity. Below are some pics of the kinds of things I ate: big, high protein meals full of healthy carbs and produce, but nothing that was at all low-fat, low-carb, or low calorie. No deprivation, starvation, calorie counting, or overtraining involved. I feel SO GOOD!

 

My Favorite Thing About PIIT28

I feel good, I look good . . . what else is there to love about a fitness program?

I love how radically different the TONE of PIIT28 is from other workout programs I’ve tried. Other DVD/streaming workout trainers I’ve tried out yell at you, swear at you, and try to use things like fitting in skinny jeans and looking good in a bikini as your motivation to put in 5 more reps.

I hate that.

I’ve worked long and hard to change my mindset about WHY it’s important to exercise and eat well. I firmly believe that health is about feeling good, not looking a certain way. And the last thing in the world I want is to be fed the garbage I’ve been trying to get out of my head every time I work out.

As Cassey coaches you through the moves of PIIT28, she’s so grounded and healthy and positive. She talks about being STRONGER. Happier. Fitter. As you do all these things, the transformation in your appearance will take care of itself. But die-hard focus on a scale number, body hatred, and negativity get you nowhere.

Cassey helps me keep my head in the right place as I seek to STAY recovered from my ED days. Her positive energy and emphasis on being healthy not just physically but emotionally as well is incredible. This combined with the killer workouts make PIIT28 my all-time favorite workout program.
